Global Village in Dubai 2022: the whole world in one place

Can you imagine having the Burj Khalifa, the Tower of Pisa, and Big Ben on the same street? Well, this is possible in Global Village in Dubai. A family entertainment complex where pavilions representing all the world's countries have been built.

In principle, you could think of something very similar to Disney World's Epcot, and there is something of that. However, upon entering, you will discover that they have essential differences. The main one is inside the pavilions since in these you will find stalls with local products from each nation. Another critical difference is the representation of the countries. While Epcot focuses on the West, the most represented are the Middle East and Asia countries. Check out more at Today In Dubai.

This last characteristic makes the visit more interesting for those of us who come from the West, and in this way, we can learn more about the typical products of nations that are sometimes very distant and unknown to us.

What is there to do in Global Village?

Go shopping in the pavilions. You will find many local products from different countries of the world.

Try the typical food. You can also find food, handicrafts, and specific products from different parts of the world. One example is Thailand's floating market, one of the Global Village's new food areas.

See the shows. In many pavilions, you will find presentations, parades, and fireworks on certain days. If you are interested, check the calendar of activities.

Practical information

  • Season 2021 – 2022. This season started in October and will end on May 7, 2022. The dates for the 2022 – 2022 season have not yet been announced, but always check the dates because they may vary due to the weather.
  • Ticket. Tickets are purchased online (via the official app) or at the box office. There is no need to buy in advance; the ticket offices' lines are short and fast. The cost is AED 15 (USD 4) online and AED 20 (USD 5) at the gate.
  • Schedule. From Saturday to Wednesday it opens at 4 pm and closes at midnight.

Important. Mondays are for families and women only. So groups of men alone cannot enter. However, couples can enter.

Customs. It is a typical activity, so it is requested to be moderate with necklines and short skirts. However, it is not about covering everything: jeans, t-shirts, and dresses are well accepted.

Tip Mundukos. My advice is to arrive early to avoid crowds and to have the opportunity to see the site in daylight. Know more about Bosporus Turkish Restaurant In Dubai.

How do I get to Global Village?

Public transport. It can be reached by bus from the Mall of the Emirates tube station. Follow the "bus" signs on the subway and head to the 106 bus. For your return, follow the same path.

Travel tip. I advise you to organize the visit on the same day you go to Dubai Miracle Garden due to the proximity of both places (15 minutes by taxi).
